Privacy policy

Kagami Windows application, published by RyaLabs. Effective 20 October 2026.

1. Who we are

The Kagami application is published by RyaLabs, Geoffrey Gustin, sole trader, 2 rue de la Pongevie, 25310 Abbévillers, France. Contact: contact@ryalabs.fr.

2. Summary

  • Kagami works offline, with no account and no RyaLabs server: RyaLabs does not receive your measurements or files.
  • The application contains no advertising, no analytics or audience measurement, and no crash reporting.
  • The application's only network connection is used to check for and download updates from GitHub (section 5).
  • The licence is verified on your computer, without a connection (section 4).

3. Data stored on your computer

  • the current file and history (gauge, part and operation details, inspector name if you enter it, measurements, results, comments and decision), in the application's local storage;
  • your preferences and acceptance thresholds;
  • files you save yourself: .kagami files and PDF reports, wherever you choose;
  • files you import (Qualigest SPC exports, Excel template), read on your computer and never sent;
  • a technical update log (updates.log: dates, versions, any error messages) in the application folder.

To delete this data, uninstall the application and delete its user data folder, as well as the .kagami and PDF files you saved.

4. Licence

To issue a licence, RyaLabs uses your name (or your company's), your email address and the computer ID shown by Kagami. This ID is a hash computed from the computer's Windows identifier; the identifier cannot be recovered from it. You send it to RyaLabs yourself, by email. The licence key, which contains this information and its expiry date, is then verified by the application on your computer, offline. The application stores the key and the trial and activation dates locally.

RyaLabs keeps this information for the duration of the licence and as long as needed to manage the business relationship and meet accounting obligations.

5. Updates

When an Internet connection is available, Kagami checks for a new version and downloads it from the public repository GeoffreyGustin/kagami-releases on GitHub. As with any connection to a website, GitHub (GitHub, Inc., a Microsoft subsidiary) receives your computer's IP address and technical request information, which it processes under its own privacy policy. No measurements, files or licence information are sent.

6. Your rights

Your measurements and files stay on your computer, under your control. For licence data, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you can request access, rectification or erasure by writing to contact@ryalabs.fr, and lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

7. Email contact

If you write to RyaLabs (for example to request a demo), your email address and message are used only to reply to you and are kept as long as needed to handle your request.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated, in particular when the application changes. The effective date below is then updated. The current version is always available on this page.

Effective date: 20 October 2026.
